Why is Estate Planning Important?
A well-drafted estate plan will account for all of your needs and ensure that your wishes are carried out. It will also protect you from probate.
Gaudy Law has been helping with estate planning around San Bernardino County, Los Angeles County, and San Juaquin Valley, for years.
The process begins with a meeting between you and one of our attorneys to discuss the specifics of your plan. Our team will then begin preparing your plan and will send/upload your drafts of the documents to review.
When everything is ready, you will meet with us once more to sign the documents. This entire process typically takes about two to three weeks to complete.
A Well Crafted Estate Plan Includes
When done correctly, these documents work together to protect your family from probate, keep your estate private, and allow you to make decisions now that you won’t be able to make later.
We craft each part of your estate plan to fit your needs perfectly, make sure it’s all legally sound, and help you stay organized by giving you a premium box to house your hard-copy documents for years to come.
Amendments & Tax Planning
If you need an update to a trust or any other documents that you already have, or additional work that isn’t directly related to these documents—such as recording additional deeds, communicating with a CPA, or more extensive estate and tax planning—we typically bill at an hourly rate, and we will be sure to discuss these costs with you. We will bill you fairly, and be sure you think it’s fair, too.
Additional Documents
If you need any additional legal documents in order to make your estate plan complete, we can help you determine what you might need and prepare those documents for you. Whether you need a trust certification, additional deeds, a special needs trust, or something else, Gaudy Law can assist you in this process.
